Built for everyone.
UniUI is committed to accessible design, inclusive content, and equitable access for all Nigerian students — regardless of ability, device, or connection.
Inclusive by design.
UniUI follows WCAG guidelines and works to ensure all students can access notes, AI help, and study tools regardless of ability. We prioritize low-bandwidth access, offline modes, and screen-reader-friendly interfaces.
Accessibility is not a feature — it is a design principle. Every component, every page, and every interaction is evaluated for accessibility from the start.
Accessibility in action.
Screen reader support
All UI components include semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and logical focus order. Screen reader users can navigate notes, questions, and study groups without visual cues.
Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element is reachable via keyboard. No mouse required for core flows. Focus indicators are visible and high-contrast.
Color contrast
Text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios. The brutalist black/yellow theme is chosen for maximum readability, not just aesthetics.
Text resizing
Layouts adapt to text scaling up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. No horizontal scroll at 200% zoom.
Offline access
Core study features work offline. Notes, past questions, and study plans are available without internet. Syncs when connection returns.
Built for Nigerian connectivity.
Many Nigerian students experience intermittent connectivity. UniUI is designed to work under those conditions.
Data-efficient design
Images are compressed, fonts are subsetted, and unused assets are not loaded. A study session uses less data than a 10-minute WhatsApp video call.
Progressive loading
Core content loads first. Enhancements load when bandwidth allows. Students on 2G can study while those on 4G get the full experience.
Offline packs
Students can download entire course packs — notes, questions, formulas — for offline use. Auto-sync when they reconnect.
Works on the phones students actually own.
UniUI is optimized for the most common devices among Nigerian university students: mid-range Android phones with 3–4GB RAM and limited storage.
Android-first design
Native Android app built for API 24+ (Android 7.0). Covers 90%+ of active Android devices in Nigeria.
Lightweight installation
App size under 50MB. No unnecessary dependencies. Works on devices with 3GB RAM and 500MB free storage.
Web fallback
Progressive web app for students who cannot install the app. Feature parity except offline packs and push notifications.
We need your help.
Accessibility is a continuous process, not a checkbox. If you encounter barriers while using UniUI, we want to know.
